The Orca Dive Club Soma Bay is open all year round. From 8am until 6pm, 7 days a week you will be able to find one of our competent and friendly staff to answer all of your questions. These opening hours allow the upmost flexibility for check in/out so you don't miss any valuable dive time.

You will find a fleet of dedicated hardboats in operation at the Orca Dive Club Soma Bay. The highly experienced and friendly crew guarantees to take you safely and comfortably to only the best dive sites. All boats are equipped with the necessary safety equipment in line with international standards. You will find oxygen, first-aid, VHF marine radios, lifejackets and state of the art communication and navigational aids on-board.

Our state of the art and top of the range rental equipment, which is serviced regularly in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations, guarantees a comfortable and safe diving experience. 50 complete sets of equipment are available at any given time. This also includes dedicated kids diving equipment.

With over 260 12ltr. aluminum tanks at your disposal you will never have to come up for air at the Orca Dive Club Soma Bay. All tanks are available with a choice of DIN/INT connection. In line with the Club's philosophy of "Safety First" all tanks are regularly inspected and serviced in accordance with stringent in house test procedures. Hydrostatic testing is conducted out of house by an international accredited inspection company.

We are very impressed with our state of the art filling system at the Orca Dive Club Soma Bay, one brandnew BAUER V500 (500 l/min) and two BAUER KAP 12.14 and KAP 14 (320 l/min and 350 l/min). Our guests can rest assured that we can deliver enough air at all times. Certified Nitrox divers receive their "Nitrox for Free" thanks to our high performance membrane filter system. Constant inspections, servicing and air quality testing is carried out by Bauer Kompressoren Egypt guarenteeing only the purest quaility breathing air 365 days a year.

Your valuable diving equipment is safe in one of our two spacious dry rooms. With large fresh water rinse tanks (one just for regs, computers and cameras) you're sure to get all the salt out of your equipment. These dedicated storage areas are well ventilated so that your equipment can dry before your departure. The dry rooms are open from 8am until 6pm and remain locked at all other times. Our own night security personnel keeps a watchful eye on your equipment while you are away.

Our open air snack bar is the central meeting point before and after a days diving activities whether that be boat or house reef diving. Here you can enjoy a drink, small snack and soak up the chilled atmosphere together with your "buddies" whilst enjoying the commanding views over the Red Sea and mountain back drop.

In our boutique which is found in central courtyard of the dive club you will find a large selection of holiday souvenirs. We stock a variety of T-shirts, sweatshirts/fleeces, shorts, trousers, skirts and a lot more from the Orca collection. You will also find divesite guides and marine life identification guides available.

Guests diving at the Orca Dive Club Soma Bay have the centre's well stocked medical room at their disposal. The medical room has a large array of bandaging, disinfecting and other medical products in stock. In serious cases the international hospitals of Hurghada and El Gouna are easily and quickly reached.

The Orca Dive Club Soma Bay is situated on a house reef that stretches from the east to the west of the peninsula. Packed with diverse marine life and an abundance of corals it is truly a delight for snorkellers and divers of all experience levels. A 420-metre jetty extends directly from the dive club to the reef, with electric cars that are available for carrying equipment and divers for effortless access to the reef. A large turquoise-blue lagoon lies at the front of the reef and provides sheltered waters ideal for training. This "House Reef" boasts a spectacular array of marine life from the smallest to the largest creatures. With sightings of large pelagics like barrakuda, turtles and eagle rays being commonplace.
